Courtesy of Bradley Wetherbee. This satellite transmitter is similar to one that was attached to a 6-foot mako shark off Ocean City, Maryland, on June 15. The shark was presumably caught by a fisherman off Martha's Vineyard, and researchers who are trying to get the transmitter back have traced it to North Falmouth.
