Dear Captain “ When do the Kingfish Start Running in the Clearwater Area for the Fall? 

Hi Mr. Cafferata,

They are catching some Kingfish right now at some offshore reefs, even though the water temperatures are still too hot for the big Kingfish run. The general migration of Kingfish will come when the water temperatures drop into the mid-seventy degree range. When the water in and around Clearwater gets to about 77 degrees, you should start fishing for them. A good water temperature range is from about 70 to 77 degrees.
