“Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” will offer a surf and beach fishing workshop in Stuart from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19.
Anglers can learn the most effective tips and techniques for catching or releasing the fish found in the waves along the beach or offshore from accomplished retired charter guide and author Rodney Smith.
Smith will instruct anglers on fundamentals and skills to target cobia, dolphin, snapper, grouper, snook, pompano, whiting, drum, flounder, mackerel and other species. Hands-on practice will be offered at a nearby beach determined by weather.
The workshop will take place at the Stuart Angler Bait & Tackle 4695 SE Dixie Hwy, Stuart, FL 34997. Registration is $55 and includes a free surf and ocean fishing tackle bag worth about $25.
Proceeds from the registrations will benefit the nonprofit Ladies Let’s Go Fishing Foundation and Anglers for Conservation.
